Our organic Hojicha powder is made from Japanese tea leaves and is a beautiful aromatic and earthy green tea with an alluring aroma. Because Hojicha's leaves are roasted, the caffeine levels of this tea are greatly reduced, while maintaining the many health benefits of green tea. For this reason it has a calming effect and can reduce stress, enhance your metabolism, and boost your immune system. Hojicha tea can be prepared like matcha when in fine powder form by simply whisking it together with hot water until frothy and combining with steamed milk of choice.
Tin contains approximately 8 servings.
Preparation:
- 1 tsp PG hojicha
- 2 oz hot (but not boiling) water
- 6 oz milk or dairy alternative
- Sweetener of choice, optional
- Whisk the hot water and Hojicha until well blended and frothy.
- Steam or heat the milk. Pour the Hojicha over the warm milk. Add sweetener if desired, stir, and enjoy!
